Job Summary
As a Development Engineer Electronics, you’ll be responsible for the research and development of electronic circuits, products and controls solutions for global Signify Dynalite Connected Lighting systems and propositions.
What you’ll do
Research into new technologies, electronics components, and circuits.
Development of electrical hardware for lighting controls from concept to completion.
Design verification and validation, to ensure required functionality, compliance, quality, cost & manufacturability.
Liaise with other local and global R&D colleagues and teams, material suppliers and manufacturers globally.
Your qualifications
BSc/MSc degree in Electronics or Mechatronic Engineering, with 2 + years of commercial experience in Analogue & Digital electronics design
Strong proficiency in Altium E-CAD (PCB Design) & MS Office suite. SolidWorks M-CAD, Adobe suite and programming languages such as C, C++ and Python would be an advantage.
Design experience with digital wired and wireless communication PHY layers implementation, microcontroller circuits and peripherals, analogue and digital circuits and power supplies.
Understanding of IEC/EN and UL standards would be an advantage.
Ability to work unsupervised and to take ownership of tasks and projects, with a good understanding of Project Management fundamentals and ability to work effectively in a global multi-site, multi-cultural R&D and Manufacturing Team environment.
Demonstrated hands-on practical skills with the ability to build and test prototypes
Understanding of project management fundamentals
