AVP Escrow & Payoffs

Job Summary The AVP Escrow & Payoffs is responsible for the overall management and effective operations of the Escrow and Payoffs functions within the Servicing Department. This role provides leadership and oversight to ensure functions are executed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and agency/investor guidelines, supporting overall servicing objectives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manages the daily performance, productivity, and compliance standards of the Escrow and Payoffs departments; maintains department controls, delegates work, monitors workflow and productivity, and manages hiring, performance appraisals, salary administration, and disciplinary action/termination as required. Provides oversight of Escrow and Payoffs operations to ensure activities are performed in compliance with loan documents, regulatory requirements, and agency/investor guidelines. Supports execution of divisional strategies and performance objectives through effective resource planning, operational monitoring, and continuous alignment with Servicing leadership goals. Reviews and responds to escalated borrower inquiries and complaints; identifies root causes and recommends corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Maintains proper organizational structure within Escrow and Payoffs to ensure effective and efficient execution of department responsibilities. . Oversees vendor relationships supporting Escrow and Payoffs functions, ensuring adherence to service level expectations and business rules. Partners with Servicing leadership on policy, procedure, and process enhancements designed to improve performance, control, and compliance outcomes. Performs miscellaneous duties and special projects as assigned. Position Requirements Education Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience required. Experience Minimum ten (10) years of Mortgage Servicing experience Minimum seven (7) years of related leadership experience Servicing Operations, Escrow, and/or Payoffs experience preferred Functional/Technical Skills Strong leadership skills with ability to lead team to achieve results Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational and time management skills Excellent problem-solving and technical skills Advanced knowledge of Excel and MS Office Suite Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities Highly organized, detail oriented and proactive Ability to problem solve and research issues when needed Strong mathematical and analytical skills Ability to effectively interact with managers and members of the functional areas of business Environmental/Physical Demands Work is typically performed in a standard office environment.
