About Altera
At Altera, we are driving innovation at the intersection of programmable logic and artificial intelligence. Our mission is to empower customers to accelerate AI-driven solutions across industries, from data centers to edge computing.
Role Overview
We are looking for a marketing-minded Intern who wants to go beyond campaigns and get hands-on with how AI can improve the internal engine of a sales organization! Working alongside Sales Operations and Sales Support, you will help identify where manual processes slow the team down — and build AI-powered tools to fix them. No prior engineering experience required; what matters is your ability to think analytically, communicate clearly, and follow through on a project.
What You'll Build
CRM hygiene: Help automate data entry, cleanup, and accuracy in Salesforce
Demand creation: Support AI-assisted workflows for pipeline generation campaigns
Dashboards: Build visual sales reports the team can use in weekly reviews
KPI tracking: Define and instrument the metrics that matter to leadership
Responsibilities:
Shadow Sales Operations and Sales Support teams to understand current workflows and pinpoint where AI can save time
Assist in setting up and testing AI-assisted automations for Salesforce data hygiene — things like deduplication, missing field alerts, and account enrichment
Support demand creation efforts by helping design and document AI-powered outreach sequencing workflows
Build clear, easy-to-read sales dashboards (using Excel, PowerPoint, or a BI tool) that track pipeline health, conversion rates, and rep activity
Work with stakeholders to define KPIs, then help wire those metrics into the team's reporting cadence
Synthesize data and prepare concise internal summaries and slide decks for team review meetings
Document every tool and process you build so the team can maintain it independently
The pay range below is for Bay Area California only. Actual salary may vary based on a number of factors including job location, job-related knowledge, skills, experiences, trainings, etc. We also offer incentive opportunities that reward employees based on individual and company performance.
$85K - $90K USD
We use artificial intelligence to screen, assess, or select applicants for the position.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
Demonstrated ability to manage a project end-to-end — from planning to delivery — as shown through coursework, clubs, or prior work
Comfort with data: able to build and interpret spreadsheets, track budgets or metrics, and spot patterns
Strong written and verbal communication; able to present ideas clearly to non-technical teammates
Curious about AI and willing to learn how to use AI tools practically — no coding required
Highly organized and self-motivated; able to manage your own time and priorities
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with CRM concepts (e.g., pipeline stages, lead tracking) or prior exposure to Salesforce
Experience building presentations or visual reports — Canva, PowerPoint, Google Slides
Any coursework or self-study in data analysis, marketing analytics, or business intelligence
Prior experience in an administrative, operations, or coordination role
What You'll Gain:
Real-world experience implementing AI tools inside an enterprise sales organization
Mentorship from Sales Operations and Sales Support leaders at an AI semiconductor company
A tangible portfolio piece: shipped dashboards, automations, and documented workflows
A strong foundation in sales operations — a fast-growing career path at the intersection of marketing, data, and strategy
