Under limited supervision, evaluates and classifies medical, non-medical, and financial risks on complex risks for life insurance up to the approved authority limits. Ensures rate quotes are fair and equitable to clients, profitable to RGA, and completed within required time frames. Maintains strong client relationships by providing underwriting solutions to client issues and communicating underwriting decisions, compromises and solutions in a professional, client-focused manner.
Principle Duties
- Actively gather market intelligence to better understand business practice changes and regulatory changes
- Responsible for implementation of UW as Business strategy for target clients
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with the key people from all target clients by gaining knowledge of clients’ business and uses effective listening skills to understand their needs
- Must exhibit strong domain knowledge throughout insurance industry
- Has knowledge of actuarial concepts including mortality, morbidity, loss ratio and lapse studies.
- Develop business solutions to clients by partnering with them to identify unique, creative ways to solve their problems and improve their business results.
- Prefer prior experience in data-driven or IT focused projects or active working and participation to understand data driven business solution with other experts in the team is necessary.
- Works in a manner consistent with RGA Core Beliefs of Teamwork, Open Communications, Standards of Excellence, Innovation, Quality and Excellence, Client Satisfaction and Continuous Improvement
Requirements :
- 7 + Years experience in Life insurance
- Bilingual
- Knowledge of Insurance Data and advanced statistical analysis capabilities
- Project and process planning ability
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent presentation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate and influence others

Compensation Range:
$79,500.00 - $99,350.00 AnnualBase pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
