A Fortune 200 Company and listed among its World’s Most Admired Companies, we’re the only global reinsurance company to focus primarily on life- and health-related solutions. A Brief Overview

Reporting to the SVP, Enterprise Strategy Execution within the Enterprise Strategy Office, the VP, Global Process Owner (GPO) is the single accountable executive for one or more prioritized global end-to-end enterprise processes. The role exists to establish clear ownership, eliminate fragmentation, and drive consistent performance across regions and functions where enterprise-level coordination delivers the greatest value. The GPO sets global process direction and standards, defines performance expectations, and owns enterprise‑wide improvement priorities and sequencing. While execution remains primarily within regions and functions, the GPO provides the governance, decision rights, and enabling coordination required to improve efficiency, quality, scalability, and control outcomes across the full global process. As a senior enterprise leader, the GPO translates strategic intent into operational reality by aligning process design, automation, data, controls, and metrics into a coherent global approach. This role works closely with business, technology, data, risk, and finance partners to ensure improvements are practical, sustainable, and measurable.

What you will do

  • Serve as the single enterprise owner for assigned global processes, accountable for defining direction, making enterprise level decisions, and delivering measurable business outcomes across regions and functions. Establish clear ownership to eliminate fragmentation, drive consistency, and ensure the process operates as a coherent global capability rather than a collection of local practices.
  • Define, maintain, and govern global process standards, including allowable variants, exception criteria, and escalation paths. Ensure standards enable scalability, efficiency, and control while remaining practical within regulatory, market, and business constraints.
  • Establish a comprehensive global performance framework for assigned processes, including outcome measures, operational KPIs, service level expectations, and control indicators. Monitor performance trends, diagnose root causes of issues, and ensure transparent reporting to senior leadership.
  • Partner with Risk, Compliance, Finance, and Internal Audit to ensure that controls, governance requirements, and financial integrity are consistently embedded across the global process, balancing efficiency and speed with strong risk discipline.
  • Identify and prioritize enterprise level improvement opportunities across assigned processes, using a fact based view of value, feasibility, capacity, and readiness. Determine where simplification, standardization, automation, or data enablement will produce the greatest enterprise impact.
  • Own the sequencing and roadmap for global process improvement, ensuring initiatives are deliberately phased, integrated with enterprise priorities, and achievable within organizational capacity. Avoid fragmented or duplicative efforts by aligning improvement work under a single global agenda.
  • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams aligned to the global process, bringing together business leaders, subject matter experts, continuous improvement capabilities, and data and technology partners to shape the automation roadmap and translate strategy into practical delivery.
  • Work closely with regional and functional leaders to enable adoption of global standards and improvements, providing direction, support, and escalation as needed while respecting local execution responsibility.
  • Act as the final decision maker for global process design choices, prioritization trade offs, and exception approvals. Ensure decisions are grounded in enterprise value, risk awareness, and long term sustainability rather than localized optimization.
  • Provide clear, concise updates and recommendations to executive leadership and governance forums on process performance, risks, progress, and realized benefits. Build trust at the senior level by demonstrating disciplined ownership, transparency, and follow through.
