About the role:

We are looking for a Middleware Product Owner for OASIS. In this role, you will be accountable for end-to-end ownership of Middleware services within the OASIS program. You will define strategy, standards, and service roadmap across middleware platforms (e.g., WebSphere, WebLogic, JBoss, Tomcat), ensuring alignment with OASIS transformation objectives. You will drive standardization, compliance, lifecycle management, and service optimization while enabling automation and operational efficiency. Act as the primary interface between SMEs, delivery teams, and leadership to ensure consistent, scalable, and high-quality middleware service delivery across all accounts.

Daily challenges:

  • Own and manage the Middleware service roadmap within the OASIS program, aligned with strategic and transformation objectives

  • Define and maintain standard service scope, architectures, and operational models for middleware platforms

  • Drive standardization and simplification across middleware technologies and deployments

  • Ensure alignment with security, risk, and compliance requirements, including lifecycle (EOS/EOL) management

  • Lead service governance, ensuring adoption of defined standards and practices across all accounts

  • Collaborate with SMEs, engineering, and delivery teams to translate strategy into operational execution

  • Identify and drive automation, optimization, and modernization initiatives (e.g., platform rationalization, containerization where applicable)

  • Monitor and manage service performance, stability, and KPIs, ensuring continuous improvement

  • Act as primary stakeholder interface, providing leadership updates, insights, and recommendations

eXperience and skills required:

  • Deep Middleware Platform Expertise – Extensive hands-on and architectural knowledge of enterprise middleware platforms: WebSphere, WebLogic, JBoss/WildFly, Tomcat, and associated ecosystems (MQ, ESBs, API Gateways)

  • Service Architecture & Design – Ability to define standard service scopes, reference architectures, and operational models for middleware at scale

  • Lifecycle & Compliance Management – Strong understanding of EOS/EOL tracking, security patching strategies, and regulatory/compliance frameworks (SOX, ISO 27001, ITIL)

  • Automation & Modernization – Knowledge of containerization (Kubernetes, OpenShift), platform rationalization, and infrastructure-as-code approaches for middleware modernization

  • Service Performance & KPIs – Experience defining and monitoring SLAs, KPIs, and operational metrics for middleware service delivery

  • 8+ years in middleware engineering, operations, or service management roles

  • 3–5 years in a Product Owner, Service Owner, or similar strategic ownership role within a managed services or large enterprise environment

  • Proven track record of driving standardization and simplification across heterogeneous middleware estates

  • Experience managing multi-account/multi-client service delivery at scale (global delivery preferred)

  • Demonstrated success in translating strategy into operational execution – bridging leadership vision with engineering delivery

  • Experience with transformation programs (e.g., platform consolidation, cloud migration, containerization)

  • Strategic Thinking – Ability to define and own a service roadmap aligned with broader program transformation objectives

  • Stakeholder Management – Proven ability to act as the primary interface between SMEs, delivery teams, and senior leadership

  • Governance & Influence – Capability to enforce standards adoption across distributed teams without direct authority

  • Communication & Reporting – Excellent skills in providing leadership updates, executive insights, and actionable recommendations

  • Collaboration – Strong cross-functional partnership with engineering, security, compliance, and delivery teams

  • Continuous Improvement Mindset – Proactive identification of optimization opportunities and drive for operational excellence
