The Apparel Designer supports QVC & HSN and is a leading role of a small range brand/ brands. This position requires a committed individual with strong design skills; the ability to lead and deliver the vision, execute the design creation, and adhere to the design process. The individual will support their brand through the creation of appropriate merchandise which meets the business and trend needs of the Merchandising Team.

Where You'll Work

This role is hybrid and will require you to be onsite at West Chester, PA several days per month (onsite days are predetermined and standard across the company). Job seekers must reside in one of the following states to be considered: PA, DE, nad NJ. Relocation assistance is not available for this role.

What You'll Do

  • Manages overall creative direction for all classifications (jackets, skirts, pants, knits and sweaters) for specified brand/ brands.
  • Works with trend services to maintain awareness of high level trends and curates brand/ brands concepts presentations.
  • Manage information in PLM
  • Develop seasonal color palettes by maintaining awareness of market color direction and internal brand color selling history.
  • Research market through trade shows and trend services identifying specific fabrics for the season, work with sourcing team to source each fabric to meet the specific pricing needs of each brand.
  • Manage with technical designers to ensure tech packages are accurate and complete; review with Manager and provide specific feedback and collaborative direction when necessary.
  • Adhere to the seasonal time and action calendars. Work collaboratively with internal sourcing teams, buyers and technical design to elevate calendar issues and provide resolution in order to maintain calendar dates.
  • Approve fabric samples, lab dips and other development materials sent from factories.
  • Maintain awareness of seasonal trends through market shopping, trend research and stay current with competition. This requires international travel to gain knowledge of multi-market product assortments.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelors in Fashion Design
  • 6+ years of fashion design experience
  • Strong design and conceptual skills
  • Strong color sense / print sense
  • Proficiency in PC operation, MS office and Excel, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator software.
