SkillBridge Academy is seeking a Communications Coordinator with exceptional writing, organizational, and interpersonal skills to join our growing team in Halifax. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in shaping and delivering clear, consistent, and engaging communications across internal and external channels. This position requires a strategic thinker who can manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and uphold the integrity of our brand voice.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement communication plans that support institutional goals and initiatives.

  • Write, edit, and proofread a variety of materials including newsletters, press releases, website content, and reports.

  • Coordinate with departments to ensure cohesive messaging across all communication platforms.

  • Assist in organizing and promoting academy events, workshops, and public relations initiatives.

  • Monitor media coverage and prepare communication performance reports.

  • Maintain and update communication materials to reflect current programs and priorities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, English, or a related field.

  • 2–4 years of professional experience in communications or a similar role.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and tone.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Experience in coordinating projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

  • Familiarity with content management systems and internal communication tools is an asset.
