Job Description
Main Purpose:
Lead all aspects of and manage the inventory of terminal products, ensuring accurate tracking and efficient stock control. Responsible for handling petty cash, issuing customer receipts, and overseeing daily collections to maintain financial accuracy and accountability.
Key Responsibilities: Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge and understanding of occupational health and safety policies, always ensuring full compliance.
- Identify and assess risks associated with job activities, consistently implementing prescribed preventive measures to effectively manage and mitigate those risks.
- Manage the terminal’s petty cash, ensuring accurate control of expenditures, receipt of invoices, and timely fund replenishment to maintain efficient cash availability. Prepare weekly petty cash liquidation reports and issue cash receipts for all customer payments. Additionally, be responsible for the preparation and tracking of the Daily Collection Control to ensure accurate financial records.
- Monitor and maintain daily control of fuel inventory through physical measurements and ticket tracking to oversee fuel movements. Conduct random or targeted verifications, including level and temperature checks, to ensure the accuracy of tank measurements and confirm that all procedures are being followed carefully by those responsible.
- Lead all aspects of and handle fuel exports to other terminals, assist with seal procurement, and coordinate related activities. Prepare daily deposit summaries for all payments received at the terminal, ensuring that the designated company can efficiently make daily deposits at the appropriate bank.
- Participate in all training courses scheduled by the Terminal Superintendent, as well as in all contingency drills.
- Align with any other task entrusted by the Superintendent.
Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Experience:
- Accounting technician
- Experience working in a stock room or in other inventory positions
- Minimum 2 years inventory control experience
- Strong numerical competence and attention to detail.
- Skilled in coordinating the JD Edwards system and knowledgeable about safety standards
- Proficient in Spanish and local language
- Diligent, accurate
- Transparent
- Cooperative.
