Research Senior Technician – Single-Molecule Biophysics


We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Technician to join our team. This position is critical for supporting the development of complex experimental protocols and performing high-precision measurements using single-molecule magnetic tweezers. The successful candidate will investigate the behavior of Mismatch Repair (MMR) proteins under mechanical stress, helping to maintain high-throughput data collection and advance our understanding of genomic stability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize experimental protocols for single-molecule magnetic tweezers.
  • Monitor and characterize the behavior of Mismatch Repair proteins along DNA strands under varying mechanical tension.
  • Manage data collection workflows to ensure consistent research throughput.
  • Maintain and calibrate specialized laboratory equipment.
  • Collaborate with the research team to analyze and interpret single-molecule data.
     

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biophysics, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Physics, or a related field.
  • Experience: Prior experience with single-molecule techniques (magnetic tweezers) is highly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with data analysis software.
  • Attributes: Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work with high-precision instrumentation, and excellent organizational skills.
