Terms of Employment: Contract
Salary: $50,000 (BA, Step 0; based on 2025�2026 salary schedule)

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education or related field
• Valid Iowa Teaching License with K�6 Elementary Classroom endorsement
• Demonstrated successful teaching experience preferred
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
• Must be able to provide required I-9 documentation to verify eligibility to work in the United States.

Knowledge, Skills, and Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging instruction aligned to district and state standards
• Create a positive, inclusive, and student-centered classroom environment
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse academic and social-emotional needs
• Assess and monitor student progress using a variety of formative and summative measures
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional learning communities
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff
• Support the overall mission and goals of the Bettendorf Community School District
