Terms of Employment: Contract
Salary: $50,000 (BA, Step 0; based on 2025�2026 salary schedule)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education or related field
- Valid Iowa Teaching License with K�6 Elementary Classroom endorsement
- Demonstrated successful teaching experience preferred
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
- Must be able to provide required I-9 documentation to verify eligibility to work in the United States.
Knowledge, Skills, and Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging instruction aligned to district and state standards
- Create a positive, inclusive, and student-centered classroom environment
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse academic and social-emotional needs
- Assess and monitor student progress using a variety of formative and summative measures
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional learning communities
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff
- Support the overall mission and goals of the Bettendorf Community School District
