Job Description
Role Overview
This position is responsible for the processing and follow-up of Export customer orders. The position requires extensive follow-through with customers, sales, production and logistics to ensure timely delivery and accurate billing of customer orders.
Hybrid role Monday - Wednesday onsite required.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain direct responsibility for designated accounts, from order receipt through shipment, invoicing and document delivery
Accurate and timely entry of customer orders
Handle daily service and order activities.
Work closely with plant schedulers and transportation group to secure on-time deliveries
Play critical role in developing customer relationships and resolving customer issues
Backup team members
Maintain master file information
Invoice orders and complete month-end closing transactions
Entry of credits, debits, and sample order requests
Meet department KPIs
Recording and reporting on ongoing issues
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in international business or related field is recommended
Minimum 3-4 years working in an export or import logistics capacity
Skills & Abilities:
Familiarity with SAP, JDE or similar ERP environment desirable.
Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy and organization
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Able to handle multiple tasks effectively and efficiently with multiple interruptions
College degree preferred.
Ability to work independently and on a team
Basic level of Microsoft 365 suite and internet skills
Ability to maintain composure under pressure
Effective problem-solving skills
Knowledge of general freight forwarding terms and standards
Knowledge of U.S. Customs Regulations and Harmonized Tariff Schedule
