ABOUT THE BRAND 

Lawn Club is an exciting competitive socializing destination in the Seaport, positioning itself as “New York’s Leisure Headquarters.” The massive 25,000 square foot venue features indoor and outdoor rentable gaming lawns, amazing cocktails, and a streamlined menu of tasty bites. Each rentable lawn includes popular lawn games, big-screen TVs, courtside F&B service, and dedicated “Lawncierges.” Lawn Club caters to a variety of audiences, from twenty-somethings to corporate event planners. 

About The Role:

The Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily floor operations of Lawn Club. This dynamic and results-driven role is responsible for ensuring the seamless execution of all aspects of business operations, personnel management, and sales. Working closely with the General Manager, this individual foster a positive and supportive environment while driving performance excellence in concept alignment, guest satisfaction, employee retention, and overall business success. This is a temporary position estimated to last a duration of approximately six months, and may be subject to change based on the business needs.

What You Will Do

  • Supporting the General Manager in running the daily operations of the restaurant
  • Ensure the delivery of a superior and enjoyable gaming and recreation experience for all guests and employees
  • Foster and maintain positive guest relations, promptly address and resolve guest complaints to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Guide, direct, and train service staff, maintaining a productive work environment that promotes loyalty and dedication
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of all financial and personnel/payroll-related administrative duties
  • Uphold high standards of food preparation and service quality
  • Maintain a safe working and guest environment, implementing security procedures to protect employees, guests, and company assets
  • Facilitate clear, timely communication among internal departments regarding essential business matters
  • Be physically present on the floor during service hours to uphold service standards
  • Support recruiting, hiring, training, and development of managers and hourly employees
  • Oversee marketing initiatives and special events
  • Drive successful performance management and utilize disciplinary actions as needed in partnership with HR
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Operate ethically to protect the assets and image of the company
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as per business need

About You:

  • Minimum 2 years F&B management experience in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant
  • Experience managing major projects and supervising day-to-day team activities
  • Strong commitment to guest service and hospitality standards
  • Organization and multi-tasking skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in coordinating multiple business verticals, including food, beverage, culinary, games, and more while maintaining operational standards
  • POS and computer literate with the ability to learn and adapt to using all programs
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, across all organizational levels
  • High emotional intelligence to effectively manage and lead a diverse team
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and positive employee experience
  • Professional demeanor, polished appearance with the ability to exceed guest's expectations
  • Ability to work in an ever-changing environment
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Strong work ethic and customer-focused approach

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

  • Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.      
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.     
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing 10 – 30 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds on a regular (or occasional basis).      
  • Ability to stand for prolong periods of time.      
  • Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the property.  Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms, and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.      
  • Climbing steps regularly. 

Compensation range: $70k – $80k per year
