About the Role
An exciting opportunity has opened for a Leading Hand Maintenance Fitter to join our high-performing Maintenance Workshop team at Maules Creek. This is a day-shift only role, working Monday to Friday, offering a great work-life balance. We have an ultra-class fleet of mining equipment including CAT and Hitachi machinery.
In this hands-on leadership position, you’ll play a key role in guiding and mentoring a team of fitters, driving safety, quality, and efficiency across workshop operations. It’s the perfect opportunity for someone looking to step into a leadership role or further develop their frontline leadership capability
What You’ll Do
Lead, coach and support a team of fitters, setting the standard for safety, performance and attitude
Execute planned, breakdown and corrective maintenance to keep the workshop running at its best
Champion a strong safety culture by reporting and managing hazards, incidents and risks
Proactively inspect equipment, identify defects and raise quality job requests
Step up to supervise during shutdowns, ensuring work is delivered safely and efficiently
What You’ll Bring
Relevant Trade Qualification (Certificate III in Mechanical, Auto Electrical, Electrical or Heavy Fabrication)
Current, unrestricted NSW “C” Class Driver’s Licence
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team
Solid time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
Extensive experience working with heavy equipment
