Job Description

The Operations Manager oversees all day‑to‑day activities within the distribution center and satellite locations, ensuring operational excellence across receiving, order fulfillment, shipping, and facility operations. This leader drives safety, productivity, quality, and employee engagement while supporting long‑term strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Direct daily warehouse operations, including inbound, outbound, and logistics coordination.
  • Monitor KPIs and operational dashboards to ensure performance targets are met or exceeded.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize throughput, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.
  • Provide leadership, coordination, and operational oversight for smaller satellite warehouse facilities.

People Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of supervisors, leads, and hourly associates.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and high performance.
  • Oversee workforce planning, scheduling, and labor optimization.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with OSHA, company safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Champion a proactive safety culture through training, audits, and corrective actions.

Process & Quality Control

  • Maintain high standards of accuracy, order quality, and inventory integrity.
  • Identify process gaps and implement corrective measures to improve operational reliability.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with transportation, procurement, customer service, and corporate operations teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Support new system implementations, facility expansions, and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in distribution, warehousing, or logistics leadership.
  • Proven success managing teams in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using WMS, KPIs, and operational reporting tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change, improve processes, and drive measurable results.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving abilities.

The final base pay offered to the successful candidate will be determined by factors such as work location, job-related skills, qualifications, experience, responsibilities, and relevant education and training.
