The Technician II is responsible for using their technical skills and know-how to keep production equipment in excellent condition. Specific responsibilities include preventative maintenance, calibration, repair, and qualification of tools and equipment. The technician will work in a cleanroom environment on types of equipment including but not limited to: Ultra-high vacuum chambers, physical vapor deposition (PVD), vacuum pumps, electronics, and automation. The ideal candidate will be able to perform quality work in a fast-paced, advanced technology production department.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks including disassembly, mechanical and chemical cleaning, reassembly, and testing/qualification.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic equipment such as pumps, gauges, power supplies, and mechanical assemblies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the production process, and assist operators when required.
- Keep accurate, detailed notes and records and all documentation related to completed work.
- Perform basic fabrication (Drilling, tapping, etc.)
- Temporarily operate production tools during times of high need.
