Job Description

  • AFU-Acquiring unit is primarily responsible for all Merchant data entry, maintenance and processing of financial & non-financial entries for all NI Merchants, Clients and Third Party Banks. 
  • AFU-Acquiring unit registers all new Merchant details in Vision Plus, Base 24, RAM TOOL, XLS and Global Blue System within the stipulated time lines.
  • Merchant maintenance requests pertaining to merchants such as demographic, account, MSF details etc.
  • Debit card file processing in Debit Card Management System.
  • Unit is responsible for Merchant postings - Sale, refund, Pickup cards, fee collection.

Adherence to Compliance rules & regulations.

Task Performance

  • Merchant setup / Amendments.
  • Daily Rates.
  • Transactions Posting & Adjustments. 
  • DC Ensure that all requests received by the Unit on various applications are processed and responded within SLA.
  • Ensure Required MIS is up to date and provided to the required teams as per procedures.
  • Ensure that the merchant setups and processed files are transmitted via secured means. All policies are adhered and no audit points are raised.
  • Ensure that there is no impact to BAU in the absence of Supervisor or Manager and process is not impaired.
  • On a daily basis, all requests /queries/issues from the internal and external customers should be closed and no request should be outstanding as per cut-off time. 
  • Ensuring that all activities are carried out as per compliance and procedures laid down.
  • Authenticate the signatories on request forms.
  • Suggest initiatives for the improvement of processes.
  • MS File Processing.
  • Problem Solution

  • Solve simple problems arising from tasks undertaken in order to complete tasks effectively and efficiently with minimal reference. If ever unable to solve problems, will inform supervisor.
  • Record Keeping

  • Keep records relevant to tasks undertaken in order to provide information and continuity.
  • Keep record of important and supporting emails.
  • Administrative Services

  • Deliver simple administrative services relevant to the role and assigned from time to time to support the activities of the unit.

Education: Bachelor's degree of commerce from a recognized university.

Experience:

  • 0+ years, Banking and card Industry 

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Computer Knowledge
  • MS-Office
  • Good Communication Skills
  • Very Good command of English language (Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing), or equivalent to Upper-Intermediate level.
  • Knowledgeable on MS Excel, Word and Vision plus System.
  • Strong communication, analytical skills and strong organization skills.
  • Able to lead the investigations internally and take ownership of the issue until closure.
  • Team player and able to empathize with the client. 

Customer focused and should be able to work under pressure and should have an easy going attitude and Self-motivated.
