Location: Boise HQ
Job Type: Full-time
Position: Non-Exempt/Hourly
Starting Wage at - $20/hr Paid bi-weekly with room to GROW.
Training Schedule: Monday - Friday
Post Training Schedule: 4, 10-hour shifts with 3 days off! Sunday-Wednesday
What You'll Do:
- Handle dispatch support for Dania Furniture | Scandinavian Designs Delivery teams by:
- Receive dispatch information and determine the appropriate response needed to effectively handle emergencies, accidents, breakdowns and other reasons that may cause customer service issues
- Build a relationship with the delivery team, Transportation team, and our customers.
- Develop and create efficient, cost- effective trucking routes to meet customer demands while matching available vehicles with load and distance requirements and provide trucks with information about orders, traffic, weather, obstacles, and requirements.
- Must be able to maintain logs and records of calls, activities, and other information with strict attention to detail.
- Other duties as assigned while working 4, 10-hour shifts. Three days off! Sunday to Wednesday
Who You Are:
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in dispatching or customer service
- Thrives in a fast-paced work environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational abilities
- Proficient in using multiple systems across dual/multiple screens
- Demonstrates effective problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve issues quickly
- Capable of prolonged sitting and standing, with moderate reaching and occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent GED, 2 years’ work experience in a related field for customer service, administration, transportation, or warehouse administration preferred.
