
Medical Dosimetrist
Job Description
This Medical Dosimetrist carries out the routine dose calculations and measurements for Radiotherapy patients under the direction of the Medical Physicist, Radiation Oncologists, and the department manager. Confirms that treatments coincide with the treatment plan. Responsible for fabricating treatment aids. Other responsibilities will be assigned as appropriate. Enforces hospital rules and regulations. His/her experience in procedures should be such that he/she requires minimal direct supervision by the department manager or physics staff.
Minimum Requirements
Education
• Associates Degree RT (T)
Experience
• 3 years' experience as a Radiation Therapist
License/Registration/Certifications
• RT (T)
- Continuing Education as required by the ARRT
- Continuing Education as required by the MDCB
- Member AAMD
Preferred Requirements
Preferred Education
• CMD, BS in a Physical Science
Preferred Experience
• 1 year of Treatment planning experience
Preferred License/Registration/Certifications
• CMD, BS in a Physical Science. RT (T), (CT).
