Shape the Future of Cardiac Care
As our Program Manager, you will lead the development, coordination, and evaluation of the system’s Cardiac Cath Lab Accreditation program under the guidance of the Director of Clinical Quality. This pivotal role partners closely with Cardiovascular Medical Directors, nursing leaders, and clinical managers to ensure consistent, evidence-based care across all campuses.
You will act as the subject matter expert in Cardiac Cath Lab accreditation, synthesizing current research and clinical quality data to support outcomes reporting and improvement initiatives. Your expertise will guide compliance with accreditation standards such as DNV, ACC/AHA, and other regulatory agencies, while also fostering a culture of continuous survey readiness.


What You Bring to the Team
Educational Background

  • Master of Science in Nursing

Professional Experience

  • 5-7 years of cardiovascular or similar nursing experience

Licenses & Certifications

  • SC Nursing License or Compact State License
  • Board Certification in relevant clinical area

Preferred Skills & Certifications

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (preferred but not required)

 

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Ensures system compliance with professional, regulatory, and governmental standards of care.
  • Responsible for planning, conducting, and coordinating leadership and staff meetings related to the system Cardiac Cath Lab Accreditation program.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of equipment or other material needs, which includes purchase, maintenance, repair, inventory, and replacement.
  • Develops and supports critical annual operating goals that align with the strategic focus of the organization.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of budget preparation and use. 
  • Demonstrates commitment to professional growth by attending or participating in management training and /or continuous education on a regular basis.
  • Develops, implements, measures, and monitors success of plans designed to improve associate professional educational levels on core competencies.
  • Demonstrates ways to enhance the quality of communication between the department and its customers, fellow associates, other departments, physicians, and the community.
  • Fosters and promotes teamwork within the department and the organization. Resolves conflicts constructively, and in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrates appropriate computer-based skills commensurate with job duties.

Cardiac Cath Lab Accreditation Responsibilities

  • Leads the development of system protocols and guidelines for patient management based on current evidence-based standards of care.
  • Develops, implements, and evaluates comprehensive, system-level patient education programs.
  • Participate in the development and execution of quality assurance programs and projects at both the system and individual campus level.
  • Assures that the Cardiac Cath Lab Accreditation program remains in compliance with DNV, ACC/AHA, and other government agency guidelines.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of research protocols and interpret protocols for participation of patient and family members.
  • Develops, reviews, and revises annual staff education to ensure a consistent, system approach. Participates in teaching activities for physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, and students in those disciplines as requested.
  • Develops and presents information to marketing, community, and professional groups regarding Cardiac Cath Lab Accreditation. Offers screenings and education in the community. Coordinates and offers comprehensive Cardiac Cath Lab Accreditation-specific education for community and non-profit organizations in the service area. Provides culturally appropriate education and materials to the community.
  • Assists in the development of education to help ensure that patients and family demonstrate knowledge of health status, treatments, symptom management, skills, medications, and adaptive behaviors gained as a result of teaching interventions.
  • Chairs multidisciplinary team(s) to govern the Cardiac Cath Lab Accreditation program. Actively collaborates with the key/designated stakeholders at all campuses to ensure a system approach to Cardiac Cath Lab care, while recognizing the individual and distinct needs of each campus.
  • Acts as the MGC office and post-acute care liaison to assist with transitional policies and protocols.
  • Ensures that risk stratification protocols are in place and are being utilized for decision-making related to the Cardiac Cath Lab patient.
  • Serve as an expert resource in Cardiac Cath Lab Accreditation processes to healthcare system.
  • Other duties as assigned
