Job Description
Workforce Solutions East Texas delivers vital child care assistance across a 14‑county region, helping eligible families access affordable, high-quality care. Through the Child Care Services (CCS) program, parents are supported in maintaining employment, pursuing education, or completing job training. The program also collaborates with local child care providers to enhance service quality and partners with employers to strengthen the region’s workforce and support working families. The Intake Eligibility Specialist duties are but not limited to the following:
- Establishes rapport and credibility with customers and providers by providing excellent customer service in a professional and respectful manner
- Determines customer eligibility by reviewing the customer documentation for completeness and accuracy
- Performs mathematical calculations to determine the parent's share of cost
- Enter all data into KinderTrack System in a timely and accurate manner
- Enters data into databases as directed including the Financial Aid Communication System (FACS)
- Maintains accurate customer files in specific order and completeness
- Takes immediate action to address and resolve customer and provider complaints
- Performs other duties as may be assigned
Education
High School Diploma - Required
Experience
Minimum of 2 years experience in MS Office and other data base systems. - Required
Minimum of 1 year experience working in a fast paced environment. - Preferred
Minimum of 1 year experience in customer service (internal or external). Preferred
