ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Communicating with our 3PL customers as well as agreeing on customer-specific solutions.
- Arrange for transport of cargo and agree rates where no tariffs exist, maximise cost effectiveness and ensure accounting deadlines are met.
- Contingency backup solutions in support of Japan freight and 3PL business.
- Traffic control, consolidations and cost management of all freight.
- Management of carrier and 3PL performance (daily, weekly, etc)
- Document control, ensuring all shipping and freight documentation is 100% accurate.
- Proof of delivery management in support of customer service requirements.
- Communicating with carriers and customer service for all “spot rate” requirements.
- Summarising and interpreting reports for internal as well as external purposes.
- Closely collaborating with the 3PL warehouse and monitoring scheduled suppliers.
- Internal and external query management.
- Perform and implement general administration, invoicing sign-off, filling, queries. Claims, check cost in accordance with departmental requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Degree/Diploma in (International) Business Management, Logistics or an equivalent/comparable education.
- Experience in inbound and outbound logistics particularly with regards to healthcare products.
- Experience in freight administration/coordination.
