Job Description
Position Overview:
Our team is seeking a qualified Business Development Representative to help us sell the products and services that our customers have grown to rely on. This position will be responsible for driving acquisition and activation of new accounts in their assigned territories/verticals.
This position will be fully remote with the ideal candidate being located in Vancouver/Lower Mainland with an anticipated 75-80% travel expectation within their designated territory (averaging about 3-4 nights/week travelling).
Responsibilities:
Maintain working relationships with existing clients to ensure exceptional service and identification of potential new sales opportunities
Possess in-depth product knowledge and be able to conduct product presentations and relay objection handling
Prepare professional, complete, concise, and accurate reports, proposals, and other documentation as required for customer presentations
Develop and implement territory action plan through comprehensive data analysis, and adjust sales techniques based on interactions and results in the field
Achieve sales goals by assessing current customer needs and following a defined selling process with potential buyers, often utilizing product presentations
Perform regular competitor monitoring and update reports on the market
Energetically qualify, build, and manage an accurate sales funnel
Meet annual sales budget through the successful implementation of sales and marketing strategies and tactics
Generate leads and build relationships planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential new aftermarket customers
Source and close new business; execute outreach and solutions-based presentations.
Manage and track pipeline and CRM documentation.
Prepare for and lead Weekly One on One meetings with Segment Lead.
Participate in Business Development Pipeline Strategy Sessions for team alignment.
Collaborate with Account Managers and Representatives for onboarding and handoffs.
Contribute to segment meetings and feedback loops.
Attend training, industry events, and coordinate technical product launches.
Skills and Qualifications:
3 years’ experience as a sales representative in business development setting.
Ability to travel at least 75-80% of the time in designated territory.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, and organizational skills.
Proficiency with sales management software and CRM – Salesforce.com, etc.
Self-starter and able to deliver improving results in a team environment
Ability to balance persuasion with professionalism
Strong business ethics and personal integrity is necessary
