What does a great HR Advisor, Philippines do?
Using local employee relations skills and experience, the HR Advisor will help cultivate a positive work environment by providing consultation and guidance to managers and employees on a broad range of People matters.
Responsibilities include:
- Act as first-line HR advisor to our employees in the Philippines and their managers globally.
- Champion the Travelport culture and play a key role in keeping it vibrant and thriving in our Philippines office.
- Serve as the subject-matter expert on Philippine labor law, providing accurate and practical advice to managers and employees.
- Manage employee relations cases including but not limited to redundancy, retrenchment, misconduct, disciplinary and grievance cases whilst ensuring full compliance with due process requirements.
- Maintain robust documentation to mitigate illegal dismissal and compliance risk.
- Lead and shape HR process efficiencies, identifying opportunities for process improvement and optimization, prioritizing compliance and effectively collaborating with stakeholders and/or COE’s.
- Ensure consistent and fair application of policies across the Philippines population.
- Identify gaps where local law or practice overrides global policy.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of labor law developments.
- Own documentation and record keeping for all Philippines HR matters.
- Ensure timely information is provided to People Services to ensure employee data is accurate.
- Coordinate workshops for managers in line with legislation.
- Support with all HR people needs in collaboration with the wider people teams as required.
- Provide HR support for other APAC locations as required.
Who we are looking for in this role:
- Experience of working in a HR Advisor role.
- Working knowledge of local employment law, statutory benefits and due processes.
- Previous experience managing employee relations cases.
- Confident advisor with the ability to challenge and influence managers.
- Clear, professional communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities.
- Employee/Customer focused approach.

Competitive salary. This role is bonus-eligible, and bonus awards are performance based and governed by the applicable annual bonus plan terms. 18 days holiday that increases with years of service, hybrid working model, statutory sick pay, pension contribution and medical + dental insurance.
