Your Role as Medical Director
- Lead, mentor, and support veterinarians and clinical staff to advance medical excellence and professional growth
- Ability to practice advanced medical care with a team of dedicated, credentialed nurses to support you
- Establish and maintain medical protocols, standards of care, and compliance initiatives
- Partner with hospital leadership on strategic planning, operational performance, and client experience initiatives
- Foster a positive, collaborative culture that supports excellence in patient care
- Lead team meetings, recruitment, performance reviews, and continuous improvement efforts
- Continue clinical practice while serving as a clinical leader and role model
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university
- Licensure in good standing to practice in the state of employment
- Ideally, 5+ years of practice experience
- Positive and effective leadership
- Ability to manage staff and outcomes with emotional intelligence
- Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics
- Delegation of tasks and achieving results with practice team members
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
