
Events Specialist & RV Technician
Job Description
The Events Specialist & RV Technician is a hands-on, event-focused role responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the setup, operation, and teardown of Winnebago corporate displays, vehicles, and supporting equipment at shows, events, dealer activations, and experiential marketing engagements. This position ensures Winnebago products are presented in an exceptional, professional manner while functioning safely and reliably in public and field environments. While the primary focus is on event logistics, field execution, and brand support, the role also requires solid RV technical knowledge to perform inspections, basic diagnostics, repairs, and system setup to support successful event execution. This position is based in Forest City, Iowa.
Primary Objective of the Position
- Act as the onsite lead for shaping event environments that put the customer at the center of the experience while delivering spaces that are unmistakably aligned with Winnebago’s brand vision and standards
- Plan, coordinate, and execute the setup, operation, and teardown of Winnebago units, displays, and supporting equipment at approved corporate shows, events, and experiential marketing activations.
- Ensure all vehicles and displays are presentationready, including washing, detailing, merchandising, leveling, propping, and staging for public display.
- Transport, stage, secure, and store RV units, displays, tools, and equipment in a safe, organized, and professional manner.
- Support onsite event operations, including power, HVAC, lighting, and basic system functionality needed for demonstrations and customer engagement.
- Partner with Product, and Dealer teams to support a positive, seamless show and event experience for attendees.
- Interact professionally with dealers, show coordinators, vendors, and internal partners to maximize event readiness and execution quality.
Secondary Responsibilities - Technical & Operational Support
- Responsible for technical ownership of all event and display units, ensuring all RV systems are fully operational, compliant, and presentation ready prior to deployment.
- Perform routine inspections, basic diagnostics, maintenance, and minor repairs on RVs and event units to ensure safe operation and reliable performance in event and field settings.
- Assistwith troubleshooting common RV systems, including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and interior components, escalating complex issues as needed.
- Support offsite technical needs associated with events, community outreach, dealer activities, or special marketing projects.
- Move units between production, storage, dispatch, service, and event locations asrequired.
- Maintain tools, displays, and equipment in clean, functional, and up-to-date condition.

- Proficiency with hand tools, basic diagnostic equipment, and safe work practices.
- Willingness to travel approximately25%of the time, including irregular schedules tied to event support.
Compliance, Safety & Organization
- Maintain required licenses, certifications, and credentials tolegally and safely operate company vehicles and equipment, includingtimelycompletion of HR and Transportation documentation.
- Understand and follow applicable federal, state, and local regulations related to vehicle operation, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, including sweeping, trash removal, parts disposal, and adherence to safety and housekeeping standards.
- Accurately document inspections, minor repairs, and event related work as required.
Preferred Experience and Education
- Forklift certification required.
- Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred.
- RVIA certification preferred.
- HVAC certification preferred.
- Prior experience supporting events, field operations, experiential marketing or mobile displays preferred.
- RV, automotive, marine, or related service environments is a plus.
