How you’ll make an impact in this role
- Execute routine and complex ultrasound procedures by maneuvering transducers to capture high-quality images of tissues and body structures.
- Verify equipment functionality, recognize pathology and artifacts, and ensure prompt submission of accurate, high-quality images and patient data to PACS.
- Uphold strict safety protocols, quality control procedures, and regulatory compliance while maintaining a clean, orderly department.
- Troubleshoot potential malfunctions, report issues to appropriate personnel, and perform necessary equipment lock/tag-out procedures.
What minimum requirements you’ll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- One or more of the following required:
- Radiologic Technologist specializing in Sonography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
- Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
Education:
- High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical certificate/degree required.
