  • Ongoing Full-Time Role
  • Location Lismore, Grafton, Coffs Harbour or Forster
  • Competitive salary ranging from $129,464.00- $142,665.00p.a. plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

 

 

About the role

 

  • Manage the financial and administrative functions of the assigned Asset Management region
  • Supervision and ongoing training of a small team of finance and administration support staff
  • Analyse and provide detailed reporting on expenditure and cashflow projections
  • Liaise with relevant regional office staff on financial policy and administrative issues
  • Conduct research and prepare draft ministerial, departmental and other correspondence, submissions and briefings that are content, context and style appropriate.

About you

 

  • Demonstrated experience in supervision and training of Finance and Administration staff
  • Proficiency in maintaining financial records of capital, facilities management and maintenance programs
  • Extensive experience in analysis and reporting on cashflow projects, performance, budgets and costs
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

 

 

Essential requirements of the role

 

  • Current NSW Driver’s License 
  • Willingness and ability to travel across the Asset Management Unit (AMU) region of North Coast NSW
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.

As a condition of employment, successful candidates not currently employed by the Department must provide a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) clearance number. Renewal is not required after the WWCC expires, as long as you remain in a non–child-related role. Employer obligations only apply while the WWCC is valid.
