Bachelor’s degree in insurance, finance, law or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., ACII, CPCU) preferred.
3 to 7 years of underwriting experience in financial lines and cyber, with a proven track record of success and good personal reputation in the market. Expertise in underwriting SME risks or commercial PI risks is a plus.
Strong understanding of underwriting principles, risk assessment, and pricing strategies.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and internal stakeholders.
Proficiency in using underwriting tools and software, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and under pressure, enabled to make informed decisions within delegated authority levels.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Experience in Singapore and SEA risk.
