About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Communications Specialist to support the development and delivery of key corporate communications, with a strong focus on media relations and large-scale communications projects.
This role is responsible for the end-to-end execution of complex, multi-channel communication initiatives that support organizational priorities, leadership messaging, and brand consistency. The successful candidate will operate at the intersection of strategy and execution, managing multiple stakeholders and delivering high-quality communications.
As the Newest Member of our Team, You’ll:
- Lead end‑to‑end project management for large‑scale corporate communications initiatives, including annual reports, year‑in‑review content, and corporate performance updates
- Build and manage detailed workback schedules, stakeholder timelines, and approval processes
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams including design, digital partners, external vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely, on‑brand delivery
- Support and execute media relations activities, including drafting press releases and media materials, identifying opportunities for coverage, and responding to media inquiries
- Develop and execute integrated, multi‑channel promotion strategies to amplify key communications
- Translate core messaging into channel‑specific content across social, digital, email, landing pages, and internal channels while ensuring consistency
- Monitor engagement metrics and optimize content and distribution strategies based on audience insights
- Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders and senior leadership, navigating complex approvals and competing priorities
- Ensure all communications reflect organizational brand voice, tone, and visual identity standards, partnering closely with design and digital teams
To Succeed, You Bring:
- Post‑secondary degree or diploma in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations, or a related field
- 5–8 years of experience in corporate communications or a related discipline
- Proven experience leading large‑scale corporate communications programs such as annual reports, and corporate updates
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics
- Strong project management skills and experience managing multiple stakeholders and deadlines
- Experience working with senior leaders and navigating executive‑level approvals
- Ability to think strategically while executing with a high level of attention to detail
- Experience in financial services, pensions, or other regulated environments is considered an asset
- Experience in event management and coordination is considered an asset
- Experience with multi‑channel campaigns and brand governance frameworks is considered an asset
The target hiring salary for this position is $84,100.00-$98,900.00. Placement within our salary range will be based on factors such as internal equity, market conditions, and the candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
