Lead development of manufacturing processes from customer bid packages, prints, and specifications
Develop and own CNC programs for new products, including tool selection, workholding, cutting parameters, and cycle time optimization
Serve as the subject matter expert for CNC programming, including multi-axis machining and complex geometries with tight tolerances
Build routing, process flows, and production plans that support quoting and execution
Support capital equipment selection, justification, and implementation
Supports safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets by identifying and implementing continuous improvement projects to reduce equipment downtime, increase productivity, reduce perishable tooling costs, and reduce scrap, aligning with yearly plant metrics
Aids engineering team members in problem-solving and corrective action for manufacturing controls processes as needed. Shares and documents lessons learned with team members
Work cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain
Develop and validate work instructions, PFMEAs, control plans, and process documentation
Ensure processes meet industry standards (ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949, others as applicable)
Troubleshoot production issues and drive root cause / corrective actions
Analyze and calculate machine throughput, material needs, and manufacturing processes
Document and standardize manufacturing processes and machine capabilities for new and existing products
Collaborate with sales and business development teams to ensure accurate and competitive bids
Drive new product introduction from concept through production launch, including prove-out and capability validation
Mentor and support team members in CNC programming and machining best practices
Contributes to the Plant's goal of reducing environmental impact annually
