ExxonMobil’s affiliates in India supporting the Product Solutions business engage in the marketing, sales and distribution of performance as well as specialty products across chemicals and lubricants businesses. The India planning teams are also embedded with global business units for business planning and analytics.

 

ExxonMobil’s LNG affiliate in India supporting the upstream business provides consultant services for other ExxonMobil upstream affiliates and conducts LNG market-development activities.

What role you will play in our team

 

We are looking for a dynamic, innovative, and resourceful EC Expert to join ExxonMobil at our Bengaluru, India location. This role will play a key part in driving and managing complex business deliverables within the Upstream Engineering domain.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders and other EC specialists to enhance workflow performance from both scientific and software perspectives, while working as part of a global agile delivery team to ensure seamless execution and alignment across regions.

What you will do

 

  • Understand the Basics of oil and gas industry
  • Able to work independently and deliver complex configurations and data maintenance activities for supported applications
  • Able to prioritize work using agile methodologies and understand the value/benefit to business
  • Able to differentiate and explain to others on Oil and Gas process workflow and relationship - Facility Operations, Data Surveillance and Analytics, Allocations and Entitlements
  • Apply foundational technical knowledge for supported applications
  • Contribute with global IT service lines (e.g. Infrastructure, Database Administration) to resolve complex issues
  • Actively engage with vendors for improvements opportunity.

About You

 

Skills and Qualifications
 

  • B.E/B.Tech in Computer science/Electronics/IT/Petroleum Engineering or related courses
  • 4-6 Years of strong hands-on experience in at least one Energy Components (EC) Production, allocation or reporting module and solid understanding of upstream production terminology.
  • Ability to work independently, resolve knowledge gaps, and deliver complex features using agile methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Upstream Hydrocarbon Accounting workflows and business processes.
  • Proficient in cloud environments and CI/CD pipelines; continuously expand technical and domain knowledge.
  • Strong SQL/PL-SQL and data modeling background.
  • Experience with EC APIs, ETL tools, and data ingestion frameworks.
  • Understanding of hydrocarbon accounting lifecycle.

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience

  • Responsible for prioritizing work, owning escalations, and leading stakeholder engagements.
  • Collaborate with A&E Analysts to enhance team capabilities and knowledge sharing.
  • Develop proficiency across all EC modules and apply systems thinking to improve delivery.
  • Growth Focus on Production Accounting, Operations, and technology tools within EC.
  • Candidate with a strong EC foundation aiming to deepen expertise in business processes and application delivery.
