Job Description
Process Optimization:
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and validate new manufacturing processes and methods.
- Monitor and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) on critical machines.
Engineering:
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
- Lead capital projects for the facility
- Research, design, and maintain mechanical systems and equipment.
- Investigate equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.
- Establish reliability programs to maximize equipment uptime.
Continuous Improvement:
- Lead and coordinate cost-saving projects and kaizen events.
- Establish and verify cost standards and identify improvement opportunities.
- Support plant-wide safety and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collect and analyze empirical data to identify opportunities.
- Develop models of alternate designs or processes to assess feasibility and sustainability.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work cross-functionally with production, quality, and maintenance teams.
- Communicate project status, data, and ideas effectively across all levels.
