[What the role is]
The Legal (Civil) Department provides legal advice and support to NEA on civil law matters.[What you will be working on]
The officer will be responsible for providing legal advice and support to assigned business partners, including:
- Vetting contracts and advising on legal issues.
- Reviewing amendments to legislation and work with the business partners to effect the amendments.
- Carrying out contract, legislative and public law advisory work.
[What we are looking for]
The job might be for you if you possess the following qualities:
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and admitted as an advocate and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore.
- At least 3 years’ experience in civil law advisory work, including drafting and review of contracts and legislation; and carrying out contract, legislative and public law advisory work.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good analytical and writing skills.
- Able to work in a team and independently.
- Able to work efficiently and meet tight deadlines.
- Able to adapt to changes and has a positive work attitude.
- Highly motivated, meticulous, committed and takes initiative.
