POSITION SUMMARY: The Assistant Controller supports the Controller in overseeing all accounting operations, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and driving process improvements in a fast-paced, growth-focused oil and gas environment. This role plays a key part in financial reporting, month-end close, and multi-entity consolidations, while providing accurate and timely financial insights to leadership. The Assistant Controller also supports acquisition integration efforts, strengthens internal controls, and helps scale accounting systems and processes. Their work is critical to maintaining financial integrity, supporting strategic growth, and delivering high-quality reporting to stakeholders.

- Proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and Microsoft Excel
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA required
Experience: 8+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including supervisory responsibilities; private equity-backed and oil & gas experience strongly preferred
Computer Skills: Advanced (ERP systems, Excel, financial reporting tools)
Certificates & Licenses:
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required
• Valid Driver License with acceptable driving history
• Completion of company required trainings
Other Requirements:
• Proficient reading, writing, speaking, and math skills (Proficient in English)
• Ability to meet strict reporting deadlines and work extended hours as needed
• Pass drug test and criminal background check
• Successfully pass all onboarding training requirements

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The Assistant Controller works primarily indoors in a corporate office setting. This is a full-time, in-office position based in Addison, TX. Work hours may vary based on business demands, particularly during month-end close, audits, and acquisition activities. Extended hours may be required to meet reporting deadlines.
