Role purpose

The key purpose of the Electricity On Sell Executive is to optimise existing electricity on-selling sites, support the expansion of new electricity on-selling projects, and deliver the Electricity On-Selling strategy to maximise asset performance. This role collaborates closely with centre administration managers, property analysts, and Embedded Network Managers to ensure all project fundamentals and day-to-day processes are delivered. The Electricity On Sell Executive is responsible for assisting with budgeting and forecasting, project expansion rollouts, EOS internal staff training, and retailer issue resolution. This role identifies, manages, and executes electricity sales opportunities to achieve energy targets and develop new revenue streams while overseeing third-party energy contracts, negotiating new agreements, and ensuring the successful delivery of energy-related projects for the business. The Electricity On Sell Executive engages with internal and external stakeholders to develop project feasibilities, business cases, and obtain necessary approvals. This role monitors financial performance, ensures compliance with industry regulations, and promotes innovation in electricity sales and energy management. The Electricity On Sell Executive ensures optimal operational outcomes and high standards of service delivery through effective leadership and management.

Key Accountabilities


Stakeholder & Communication Management

  • Manage all external stakeholder energy and EN queries and communications via the Zendesk ticketing platform to ensure timely and accurate responses.
  • Ensure compliance with EN Exemption and state-specific regulations, including ESC Vic, AER, and EWOV, by staying updated on regulatory changes and implementing necessary adjustments.
  • Negotiate SME and C&I tariffs with tenant move-ins and lease assignments to secure favourable terms and maintain positive tenant relationships.
  • Maintain copies of existing tenant lease SEOAs filed by asset, ensuring easy access and accurate records for future reference.


Operational Coordination    

  • Coordinate all EN operational-related tasks, processes, and projects, including collaboration with ENMs, centre teams, tenants, electrical contractors, and energy retailers, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Oversee project fundamentals and day-to-day processes, addressing any issues that arise to maintain efficient and effective operations.
  • Support project expansion rollouts by planning and executing tasks, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and aligned with project goals.
  • Provide internal staff training on EOS procedures and best practices to ensure a knowledgeable and capable team.


Financial & Performance Monitoring

  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting for electricity on-selling projects, ensuring accurate financial planning and resource allocation.
  • Monitor financial performance by tracking key metrics and analysing data, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations by conducting regular audits and reviews, addressing any non-compliance issues promptly.
  • Promote innovation in electricity sales and energy management practices by staying informed about industry trends and adopting new technologies and methodologies to enhance operational efficiency.

Experience & Capabilities


ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE (what you have done)    

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in electricity sales, energy management, or a related field, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Extensive experience in managing third-party contracts, negotiating new contracts, and overseeing energy-related projects and development work.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading project teams and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project objectives.


CRITICAL KNOWLEDGE (what you need to know)    

  • Deep understanding of electricity sales principles and best practices.
  • Knowledge of energy contract management, including negotiation and execution.
  • Familiarity with financial management, including budgeting, financial performance monitoring, and reporting.
  • Insight into current trends and innovations in energy management and electricity sales.

  • Skilled in managing daily operations, ensuring adherence to standards, and achieving optimal project outcomes.
