Job Description
ABOUT CENTRAL BANK
Central Bank is a relationship-driven institution that pairs the responsiveness of a community bank with the depth of a full wealth, trust, and private banking platform. We compete on what the national players struggle to deliver in Southwest Florida: local decision-making, direct access to senior bankers, and continuity of relationship over time. For affluent clients and the business owners and professionals who advise them, that combination is the difference between being a client and being a number.
We are building our presence in the Naples and Bonita Springs market, one of the most competitive and rewarding wealth markets in the country, and we are looking for a leader to anchor it.
THE OPPORTUNITY
The Private Banker & Market Leader is a player-coach role: you will personally build and manage a portfolio of high-net-worth client relationships while leading the growth, performance, and reputation of Central Bank in the Naples market. This is a rare combination of personal production, local leadership autonomy, and access to a full fiduciary wealth and trust platform — without the layers of approval and handoffs that frustrate top producers at larger institutions.
The right person is a credible advisor in their own right, a respected presence among Naples-area centers of influence, and a leader others want to follow. You will own the market, shape the team, and have the platform and decision-making latitude to deliver for clients.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Client Relationship Management & Personal Production
- Develop, manage, and grow a personal portfolio of high-net-worth client relationships through proactive outreach, referrals, and tailored financial solutions.
- Serve as the lead trusted advisor across clients' banking, credit, deposit, and wealth needs, coordinating specialists to deliver an integrated solution.
- Structure and manage private banking credit, deposit, and treasury relationships, growing both sides of the balance sheet.
- Identify and act on opportunities to deepen relationships and connect clients to the bank's wealth management, trust, and investment capabilities.
Market Leadership & Team Development
- Serve as the senior Central Bank presence in the Naples market, setting the tone for growth, service, and professionalism.
- Align local team members around shared growth objectives, disciplined business development, and service excellence.
- Coach, mentor, and influence bankers and partners to strengthen sales effectiveness and relationship management — leading through credibility and example, not title alone.
- Contribute to market strategy, talent development, and the bank's competitive positioning in Southwest Florida.
Partnership, Centers of Influence & Community Engagement
- Build and maintain relationships with attorneys, CPAs, family offices, and business leaders who serve and refer high-net-worth clients.
- Partner closely with lending, treasury management, wealth management, and trust colleagues to deliver comprehensive, seamless client solutions.
- Represent Central Bank visibly in community and professional organizations across the Naples and Bonita Springs market.
Risk, Compliance & Service Quality
- Maintain a high standard of responsiveness and service quality to drive client retention and satisfaction.
- Ensure all activity complies with applicable banking regulations, including Bank Secrecy Act / AML requirements and information security standards.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Within the first 12 to 18 months, the Market Leader will have established a growing book of high-net-worth relationships, measurable deposit and loan growth in the market, an active and reciprocal network of centers of influence, strong client retention, and a local team operating with a clear, shared sense of direction.
CORE QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven success in private banking, commercial banking, or wealth management relationship development, ideally serving high-net-worth clients.
- Strong business development skills, with an established network in the Naples / Southwest Florida market or a demonstrated ability to build one quickly.
- Leadership presence and the ability to influence, coordinate, and develop teams, including without direct authority in all cases.
- Comprehensive knowledge of banking products, lending, and private banking relationship strategies, with working fluency in wealth, trust, and investment concepts.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client advisory skills, with the polish to operate among sophisticated clients and their advisors.
- Strategic mindset paired with the discipline to execute and produce results.
