Description:

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Construction team at Marsh Risk. This role will be based in Singapore. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

As a Construction Broker, you will be part of a dynamic team that supports clients in managing their construction-related risks. You will work closely with senior brokers and clients to develop your expertise and contribute to delivering effective insurance solutions.

We will count on you to:

  • Support senior brokers in managing medium-sized, less complex books of business.
  • Develop an understanding of clients’ business priorities, risk strategies, and risk management needs to provide appropriate advice.
  • Assist in reviewing clients’ exposures and loss experience to help develop solutions for standard client needs.
  • Collaborate with the Placement team to receive, negotiate, and evaluate quotes from carriers to deliver the best options to clients.
  • Help prepare presentations for prospective clients and contribute ideas for innovative solutions to gain new clients and projects.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a reliable point of contact for day-to-day service needs.
  • Maintain quality in client deliverables, including monitoring delivery and invoicing to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Stay informed about changing market conditions and contribute to the team’s knowledge sharing.

What you need to have:

  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in the re/insurance industry, including broking, underwriting, or claims.
  • Some exposure or interest in construction-related insurance roles is preferred.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to manage time effectively.
  • Attained or working towards a Certificate in General Insurance (CGI) or equivalent. ANZIIF or ACII qualifications are a plus.
