About your team

You will work closely with senior leaders across functions including Asset Management, FIL Platforms, Distribution and Group Functions, as well as Global Operating Committee (GOC) members and their leadership teams.

Role purpose
The Business Manager acts as a central enabler for senior leadership, ensuring smooth execution of business operations, governance, reporting, and communication. You serve as the “engine room” of the business—bringing structure, clarity, and momentum by turning complex inputs into actionable outputs that drive decision-making and performance.

What you do

Operations and governance

  • Own day-to-day business management activities and ensure operational efficiency

  • Organise, facilitate, and document governance forums (e.g., board, executive, and leadership meetings)

  • Maintain meeting trackers, decisions, and action logs, ensuring follow-through and accountability

  • Support Chairs and senior stakeholders with structured agendas and forward planning

  • Maintain organisational data including structures, cost codes, and governance documentation

  • Support business continuity, regulatory, and governance oversight activities.

Reporting, Analysis & Insights

  • Collate and deliver high-quality monthly reporting packs and leadership dashboards

  • Develop insights across headcount, financials, talent, and operational metrics

  • Build and maintain dashboards (e.g., Power BI) ensuring data accuracy and consistency

  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders

  • Support ad hoc analysis, strategic reviews, and decision-making inputs

Communications & Engagement

  • Plan and execute townhalls, All Hands, and leadership communications end-to-end

  • Develop presentations, leadership decks, and internal communications content

  • Manage communication channels (e.g., intranet, newsletters, employee engagement initiatives)

  • Ensure consistent, clear messaging across the organisation

Automation and tools

  • Design simple tools that remove manual effort.

  • Build Power Automate forms and flows with SharePoint back ends.

  • Create Alteryx workflows with clear audit trails.

  • Support R&R moderation, open roles tracking, and weekly planning.

  • Explore AI use cases to improve process efficiency.

Stakeholder partnership

  • Work closely with senior leaders, recruiters, finance, and delivery teams.

  • Gather requirements and translate them into usable solutions.

  • Drive adoption through clear guidance, training, and documentation.
