Position Summary
The Quality Assurance Technician in the production department plays a crucial role in maintaining the quality and consistency of products throughout the manufacturing process. This position is responsible for performing quality control inspections, traceability, ensuring compliance with established standards, and identifying areas for improvement.

Responsibilities:
Microbiological analysis:
Collect various daily samples and perform microbial analysis on each sample daily.
Report all non-conformances for corrective action to QA Manager and take appropriate actions to resolve.
Prepare corrective action reports and non-conformance reports when required and tagging/blocking non-conforming materials/product and control of the inventory of these materials
Testing and Verification of results - Water Testing - Test for TDS, turbidity, pH, water temperature, ozone, weight and any special customer testing request
Equipment Calibration:
Calibrate all testing equipment at required schedule.
Ensure ozone settings and ozone records are complete and accurate.
Water Testing:
Testing and verification of results for raw and finished product water, including but not limited to TDS, turbidity, pH, water temperature, ozone, bottle weight.
Prepare product water according to customer specification and ensure that all analysis are within specifications.
Audits:
Participate in various facility audits with the QA Lead. Ensure all finished product and raw materials are within specification. Ensure all GMPs and HACCP procedures are followed and conduct internal inspections.
Complies with corporate HACCP and SQF programs, assists in applying all program elements to the Grafton facility ensuring compliance with functional area responsibilities.
Other Key Responsibilities:
Ensure all finished product and raw materials are within specification.
Train machine operators on Quality standards.
Daily sanitation tasks as well as other sanitation tasks as assigned.
Responsible for chemicals in the lab, assisting with maintaining inventory lists.
Responsible for all equipment functions involving the preparation and flow of product water to each production line (product and water changeovers).
Prepare corrective action reports and non-conformance reports when required and tagging/blocking non-conforming materials/product.
Education/Skills/Experience:
Functional Technical Skills: Previous Quality/Sanitation experience in a food processing atmosphere preferred. Working knowledge of office automation tools including Excel, Word, Power Point as well as computerized equipment to perform QA analysis is also preferred.
Ability to stand for long periods of time, able to crouch, bend and kneel, as well as capable of heavy lifting and carrying.

Working Environment and Physical Demands:
Physically fit to do manual labour tasks in a large-scale industrial facility.
Must be able to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods of time including standing, walking, bending, twisting, kneeling, reaching, and lifting.
Pay Rate- $22.28 hourly with wage increase after 3 months
