Job Description
Position Title: Multimedia Specialist
Department: Marketing
Reports To: Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)
Position Summary:
The Multimedia Specialist is responsible for producing and editing high-quality multimedia content that supports the mission and goals of the YMCA of Greater Cleveland. This role encompasses the creation of engaging video content for various purposes, including events, fundraising campaigns, educational materials, and marketing initiatives. Additionally, the Multimedia Specialist will perform basic graphic design tasks for collateral, social media posts, and other visual mediums. The role involves collaborating with the Chief Marketing Officer to develop and implement effective video production strategies and providing instructional programming in photography, videography, and visual arts for YMCA members and other audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Multimedia Content Creation:
Film and edit high-quality videos for events, fundraising campaigns, educational materials, and marketing initiatives.
Create and design basic graphics for collateral, social media posts, and other communication channels.
Ensure all multimedia content aligns with the YMCA of Greater Cleveland’s mission and branding guidelines.
Video Production Strategy:
Collaborate with the Chief Marketing Officer to develop and execute video production strategies.
Assist in planning and organizing video shoots, including selecting locations, managing equipment, and coordinating with other stakeholders.
Instructional Programming:
Provide instructional programming in photography, videography, and visual arts for YMCA members and other participants.
Develop and deliver workshops and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge in multimedia production.
Project Management:
Manage multiple multimedia projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and other departments to achieve project goals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Production, Graphic Design, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Proven experience in video production, editing, and graphic design.
Proficiency in multimedia editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator).
Strong understanding of visual storytelling and branding principles.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Experience in instructional programming or training is a plus.
Working Conditions:
Office environment with occasional on-site event filming.
Some evenings and weekends may be required based on project needs.
