Job Description
We are seeking a consultative, customer-focused Sales Engineer to help enterprise organizations modernize their infrastructure operations through API-driven automation, AI-assisted operational intelligence, and integrated DDI solutions.
This role goes far beyond traditional pre-sales engineering. You will serve as a trusted advisor to customers throughout the customer lifecycle — from discovery and evaluation through adoption, operational success, and expansion. You’ll collaborate closely with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Professional Services, Customer Success, and GTM teams to help customers simplify operations, accelerate automation, improve security posture, and drive measurable business value.
Whether you are a Network Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, Systems Architect, Automation Engineer, or customer-facing technical consultant with strong networking and cloud expertise, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Do
- Lead consultative discovery sessions to advise enterprise customers on infrastructure modernization, cloud transformation, and operational automation — aligning DDI architectures across hybrid, multi-cloud, and distributed environments to real business outcomes
- Guide customers in evolving legacy network services into API-driven, automated platforms, delivering practical recommendations on DNS, DHCP, IPAM, security integrations, and orchestration best practices
- Own proof-of-value engagements end-to-end, designing integrated solutions that demonstrate automation outcomes, operational efficiency, risk reduction, and infrastructure resiliency using BlueCat and complementary technologies
- Support customers with Infrastructure-as-Code strategies, automation frameworks, and API-driven integrations — and deliver technical workshops, architecture reviews, and executive presentations to both technical and business audiences
- Partner with Customer Success and Professional Services to ensure seamless transitions from evaluation through deployment, adoption, and expansion
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and GTM teams to shape product direction, contribute to technical enablement content, and represent the field voice in strategic decisions
- Manage engagement activity in Salesforce, operate effectively in a remote-first model, travel for strategic customer engagements when needed, and continuously deepen expertise in automation, AI-assisted operations, and modern enterprise architecture
What You Bring
- Strong command of enterprise networking fundamentals — DNS, DHCP, IPAM, and network infrastructure operations — with hands-on experience in hybrid and multi-cloud environments
- Practical experience with API-driven infrastructure, automation frameworks, Infrastructure-as-Code tools, and orchestration technologies applied to real enterprise environments
- Familiarity with cloud networking architectures, network security strategies, Linux/UNIX administration, scripting, virtualization, and cloud-native technologies
- Experience integrating infrastructure platforms with cloud providers, security tools, orchestration platforms, or broader IT operations ecosystems — AI-assisted operations and infrastructure intelligence experience is a strong plus
- Proven consultative and advisory skills with the ability to lead technical strategy discussions with architects, operations teams, and executive stakeholders simultaneously
- Excellent communication and presentation skills — able to translate complex infrastructure concepts into clear business value narratives for diverse audiences across Sales, Product, Engineering, and C-suite
- 3+ years in sales engineering, infrastructure/network engineering, technical consulting, or customer-facing architecture roles, with a Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience; comfortable operating in a remote-first environment with moderate travel
- Must be fluent in English.
