Job Specific Working Conditions:
Young Life Boston is seeking a passionate and relational person to serve in the Dorchester neighborhood as a Next Generation Leader. Next Generation Leader is a Young Life program that is ideal for high-potential young adults (ages 19-27) who possess a strong calling to youth ministry, a heart for the Gospel, and a desire to serve adolescents in under-resourced or diverse cultural settings. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who loves urban ministry, values diversity, and is committed to reaching and discipling the next generation in Boston. This role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact by investing in the lives of young people and helping build a thriving ministry in Dorchester. This position is part time at 20 hours a week and would pay $17k-$19k salary.
Mission Staff
Summary:Mission / AuthorityThrough both training and direct field ministry experience, learn how to lead and participate in effective Young Life ministry.
Ministry Functions:
Spiritual Development — “Following Jesus” includes prayer and spiritual disciplines, fellowship, growth and health and church relationships.
Leadership Development — “Equipping leaders, committee and staff” includes key volunteer care, recruiting, team building and training, supervision and vision casting.
Resource Development — “Fueling the ministry” includes events, major donor care, public relations (branding) and TDS team.
Direct Ministry — “Proclaiming and modeling” includes contact work, club, Campaigners and camp.
Ministry Support — “Taking care of business” includes accounting, administration, communication (internal), data management and strategic plan.
