JOB POSITION
Carelon Global Solutions India is seeking Tech Lead III, a talented and motivated front end Developer to join our team.
Reporting to the Assistant Delivery Manager, you will lead technical delivery across our Next.js and React.js front-end platform and AI-enabled services, refining and expanding current system capabilities to drive continuous improvement and meet evolving engineering needs.
You will own the architecture and hands-on development of new product introductions for healthcare application systems, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, performant, and maintainable.
In this role, you will champion engineering best practices and internal delivery processes, including code standards, testing strategy, CI/CD, observability, and documentation.
You will guide the team through technical decision-making, perform design reviews, and mentor engineers while remaining highly responsive and adaptable in an open, collaborative environment.
Working in a data-driven culture, you will proactively identify systemic issues, analyze root causes, and implement pragmatic solutions—leveraging AI engineering where appropriate (e.g., model/service integration, prompt and evaluation workflows, and responsible AI considerations)—to solve complex, real-world problems.
JOB RESPONSIBILITY
The Tech Lead will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following key deliverables:
Lead across all stages of the SDLC, including stakeholder collaboration, business/technical requirement gathering, analysis, solution design, development, code review, and test planning/execution.
Design and build scalable, production-grade applications and services using Next.js, React.js, and modern AI engineering patterns.
Architect, build, and maintain secure, extensible, high-performance APIs (REST/GraphQL), ensuring reliability, observability, and clear versioning/contract governance.
Deliver end-to-end features independently—from UI/UX implementation through backend/API integration, data handling, testing, and deployment.
Demonstrate strong ownership, bias for action, and self-motivation; proactively identify gaps, drive improvements, and ensure on-time delivery.
Perform requirement refinement and delivery estimation (ETAs), including risk identification, dependency management, and scope trade-offs.
Partner with Product/Delivery and the engineering team to groom the backlog, create high-quality user stories, and define acceptance criteria.
Drive architectural decisions and lead implementation, balancing maintainability, performance, security, and compliance needs typical of healthcare systems.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, QA, DevOps, Data/AI) and independently drive features from concept to release.
Bring innovation to the team by evaluating emerging technologies and introducing practical improvements (e.g., AI-assisted workflows, automation, performance optimization).
Establish and promote coding guidelines, engineering best practices, and design standards; continuously raise the bar through mentorship, reviews, and exemplifying high-quality code and architecture.
