What you’ll do:
We are looking for a motivated Laboratory & Developer Engineer to support the development and validation of new technologies through experimental setups, hardware modifications, instrumentation and system-level testing. In this role, you will drive laboratory activities from concept and setup definition to validation, working with global R&D teams and regions to deliver consumer-focused product solutions.
In detail, you will:
Propose and implement hardware modifications in appliances, including washing machines, dryers and dishwashers.
Explore alternative architectures and cost-effective technical solutions for new product features.
Install sensors and instrumentation for data acquisition, including temperature, pressure, flow, vibration and other relevant measurements.
Develop and execute test plans and validation methodologies for new concepts and technologies.
Acquire, process and analyze experimental data to identify system behavior, technical insights and improvement opportunities.
Support control algorithm development through signal acquisition, system characterization and performance mapping
Modify and calibrate embedded software and control parameters to enable fast experimentation and feature tuning.
Build prototypes and experimental rigs to validate concepts and reduce technical risks before industrialization.
As part of the culture of continuous improvement, you will be involved in Lean Thinking projects and activities (EMS/EAI).
Who you are:
Bachelor’s degree in Control & Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or related fields.
Master’s degree in a relevant field is considered a plus.
Experience with sensors, data acquisition systems, laboratory instrumentation and signal analysis.
Experience with control systems, embedded software, calibration of control parameters and system characterization.
Experience with hardware modification, prototyping, experimental rigs and system-level validation.
Experience with programming tools for data acquisition and analysis, such as Python, MATLAB or similar.
Experience in R&D or laboratory environments, preferably involving appliance testing, instrumentation or product development.
Advanced English is mandatory.
Experience working with global teams in multicultural environments.
Where you’ll be:
You will be based at the Curitiba Factory Plant, located in Guabirotuba. It will be necessary to be available for national and international traveling two to four times a year. Benefits include:
