What you’ll do:
We are looking for a motivated Thermodynamics Systems Innovation Engineer to develop and implement thermodynamic architectures and solutions for next-generation products. In this role, you will lead and support projects from concept to implementation, working globally with R&D teams and regions to deliver consumer-focused benefits aligned with product strategy.
In detail, you will:
• Develop thermodynamics system architectures for appliances, including fluid flow and heat transfer processes, airflow performance, heat pumps, drying systems, humid air modeling, and condensation / evaporation phenomena.
• Support CFD engineers by providing thermodynamic expertise, system requirements and validation inputs.
• Design, test and validate thermodynamic concepts through prototyping and experimental evaluations.
• Ensure that thermodynamic solutions meet targets related to energy efficiency, performance, sustainability and consumer benefits.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including global R&D, architecture, simulation, product development and regional teams.
• Define specifications aligned with global standards
• Support APD technology roadmap
• Document solutions and ensure knowledge transfer
• Lead projects managing scope, risks, and timing
As part of the culture of continuous improvement, you will be involved in Lean Thinking projects and activities (EMS/EAI).
Who you are:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Thermodynamics, Energy Engineering or related fields.
• Experience in thermodynamics system development.
• Master’s degree in a relevant field is considered a plus.
• Experience with thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid flow and energy systems.
• Experience with CFD or simulation tools.
• Experience with thermodynamic system modeling tools such as Matlab, Simulink, ASPEN, DWSIM or similar.
• Experience with drying systems and/or heat pump technologies.
• Experience with thermodynamic equipment such as heat pumps, heaters, condensers, evaporators and heat exchangers.
• Advanced English
