Clemens Food Group is a sixth-generation, family-owned company rooted in integrity, hard work, and stewardship. We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team and contribute to core accounting functions in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in general ledger accounting and month-end close who is looking to grow and take on more ownership over time.

Position Overview

As a Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the general ledger and close process while working cross-functionally across the business.

Key responsibilities include:

• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and adjustments
• Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Support and execute aspects of the month-end close process in a high-volume environment
• Maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedules
• Assist with financial reporting, variance analysis, and account analysis
• Compile and review cash management reporting
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities
• Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate financial data
• Identify and support process improvements and efficiencies
• Generate monthly billing for real estate tenants

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 1–3 years of accounting experience (internships considered if hands-on with GL/close)
• Experience or exposure to:
  • Journal entries
  • Month-end close
  • Account reconciliations
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Preferred:

• Experience in manufacturing, food production, or a high-volume environment
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Yardi, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.)
• Exposure to financial reporting or budgeting
