Job Description
Overview The Supplier Quality Manager is globally responsible for the performance, development, and continuous improvement of supplier quality across the group. The role is positioned within Procurement and acts as a senior, independent function with limited disciplinary responsibility. It works closely with Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, and Quality functions worldwide. The position has a strong strategic focus on supplier performance management, escalation handling, audits, and supplier development. It requires structured organization, clear internal and external communication, and a solid understanding of automotive quality fundamentals. Key Responsibilities Global Supplier Quality Management Global responsibility for monitoring and steering supplier quality performance across all regions and business lines. Maintain transparency on supplier quality KPIs, including complaints, non-conformities, and delivery performance. Define and continues develop all supplier management related systems and procedures as well as digital solutions together with Procurement Coordinator. Supplier Performance Escalation Management Lead and coordinate supplier-related quality escalations, acting as the central interface between internal stakeholders and suppliers. Ensure effective root cause analysis, corrective actions, and sustainable resolution of quality issues. Audits Assessments Plan and conduct supplier audits as required, including system, process, and product audits. Support and coordinate VDA 6.3 or comparable audits; auditor certification is an advantage. Depending on organizational setup, an operational auditor may report functionally into this role. Supplier Development Drive structured supplier development activities to improve quality maturity, robustness, and compliance with group requirements. Define and track improvement roadmaps together with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
