Job Description

The Commodity Manager NPM holds global responsibility for the development of strategic commodity groups within Non-Production Materials. The role focuses on commodity strategy, cost saving initiatives, supplier management, digitalization, investment projects, and supports in development of the global NPM team. The position requires strategic thinking, digital competence, functional leadership skills, and the ability to actively shape global developments. Key Responsibilities Global Development of the NPM Function Support in developing and implementing global standards, processes, and tools. Strengthening global procurement performance. Use of modern procurement tools such as Tacto. Analysis and optimization of global procurement processes. Development of digital KPIs and reporting structures. Support operative buyers onsite and support to reduce maverick buying. Support project of implementing of guided buying. Commodity Strategy Strategic Management Development and continuous improvement of global commodity strategies. Market analysis and derivation of strategic actions. Use of tools such as Tacto for supplier analysis. Investment Project Procurement Responsibility for CAPEX sourcing and total cost of ownership analyses. Support of global projects through to implementation. IT Digital Procurement Procurement of IT hardware, software, and cloud solutions. Logistics Fleet Management Selection and management of major logistics service providers. Procurement and optimization of the vehicle fleet. Global strategic commodities Developing of global strategies for strategic relevant products as Energy, Oil/Chemie, Packaging, etc. Savings Management Identification and realization of savings potentials. Cost analysis and benchmarking. Steering global efficiency and savings programs.
