Senior Art Director - SKIMS Beauty

Compensation: $200,000 - $225,000 / year
Description
Key Responsibilities
Creative Direction & Concept Development
- Lead creative concepting and art direction for major campaigns, launches, and brand initiatives.
- Translate brand strategy and product narratives into powerful visual systems and storytelling.
Visual Identity & Brand Expression
- Own and evolve the visual identity of SKIMS Beauty across photography, video, design, and digital.
- Ensure consistency and excellence across all brand expressions.
Campaign & Launch Execution
- Direct end-to-end creative execution across shoots, sets, styling, post-production, and final delivery.
- Partner with Production, Content, and Marketing to deliver on-time, on-budget creative.
- Partner closely with Brand, Product Marketing, E-commerce, Retail, and PR to align creative with business objectives.
- Translate product and marketing briefs into breakthrough creative.
Team Leadership & Mentorship
- Lead, mentor, and inspire designers, art directors, and external creative partners.
- Set creative standards, provide rigorous feedback, and build a high-performance culture.
External Partner Management
- Manage photographers, directors, stylists, agencies, and production partners.
- Oversee creative quality across internal and external teams.
Innovation & Cultural Relevance
- Stay ahead of creative, fashion, and beauty trends.
- Bring fresh, culturally relevant ideas to keep SKIMS Beauty visually distinctive.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Qualifications
- 10+ years of art direction and creative leadership experience in beauty, fashion, luxury, or lifestyle brands.
- Proven experience leading large-scale campaigns and product launches.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating concept, craft, and visual storytelling.
- Deep understanding of photography, video, design, and digital production.
- Experience leading creative teams in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign
- Experience creating creative presentations and visual storytelling decks using Keynote and/or Google Slides
- Working knowledge of motion and video editing tools, including Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects
- Familiarity with collaborative creative platforms such as Figma
- Experience reviewing and managing photography workflows using Capture One and/or Lightroom
- Understanding of creative production workflows across digital, social, print, retail, and campaign assets
- Familiarity with project management and team collaboration tools such as Asana, Monday.com, and Slack
- Strong understanding of typography, layout, branding, photography, and visual storytelling
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment while managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
